Villa Rosa is located just 15 minutes drive from Palma on a pine-studded headland overlooking Cala Portals and part of the rugged coastline of the Andratx peninsula. The extreme west around Sant Telm offers walkers stunning scenery.

Cala Portals is the local beach reached via a steep footpath suitable for the more active. The reward is a sandy cove which will most often be deserted. Cala Vinas is a few minutes drive away as is the beach at Cala Falco and the broad sandy beaches at Palma Nova and Santa Ponsa which have all the facilities expected of a popular resort.

Just 10 minutes in the other direction is one of the Mediterranean's foremost marinas - Puerto Portals. The atmosphere buzzes with superb restaurants overlooking the marina. Go for coffee or evening cocktails at the world famous Wellies.

Children and adults alike will enjoy the nearby Pirates Adventure experience and Aquaparks with their range of water activities and the three GoKarting circuits. Nemo Submarines, offers a rare chance to experience the myriad fish and wrecks of the underwater world, or Marineland at Cala d'en Blanes where visitors see performing dolphins, sea lions and a parrot circus.
